Sun 24 June 4:00pm – Glazunov’s RAYMONDA – LIVE from Bolshoi Ballet, Moscow. Telling the tale of a French noblewoman betrothed to a Crusader Knight, and her attempted abduction by a spurned Saracen rival for her affections.

Mon 25 June 6:30pm – OLYMPIC SHORTS (PG) followed by a LIVE satellite Q&A with all the film makers. The four films include ‘A Running Jump’ by Mike Leigh, ‘The Odyssey’ by Asif Kapadia, ‘The Swimmer’ by Lynne Ramsay and ‘What if’ by Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini.

Sun 8 July

Sun 8 July  3:00pm – HANSEL OF FILM (U).  A relay of screenings of short films made by the public. It will be launched in Shetland with the arrival of the Olympic torch – and with the films making their way down to Aldeburgh Cinema this FREE EVENT will be fun and refreshments will be provided!


Tues 10 July

Tues 10 July 7:30pm – TOWN OF RUNNERS (PG) followed by Q&A with the film’s producer Al Morrow. Town of Runners explores the life of young athletes born and raised in Bekoji, who hopes to compete on the world stage.
